Use your own AI model key.
Clients can enter their own OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter, Perplexity, or custom OpenAI-compatible API key. BellPathOS stores the key encrypted in the browser using a vault password. BellPath by DSB does not receive or store the key.

The key vault encrypts provider keys with your vault password and Web Crypto. Unlocking the vault activates the key for the current browser session only.

When you use AI, your prompt goes to the selected provider. Do not enter sensitive information unless you understand that provider's policies.

Important: if a client forgets the vault password, their encrypted API keys cannot be recovered. They can delete the vault and re-enter keys.
