The setup profile is stored in this browser. AI keys are saved through the encrypted AI Key Vault when a vault password is entered.

4 · Plaid bank and brokerage connectors

Connect accounts without storing bank credentials

Plaid Link lets clients connect banks, credit cards, loans, and brokerage accounts. The browser should only keep connection metadata. The secure backend/Cloudflare Worker must exchange the Plaid public token and store access tokens safely.

Developer note

Security rule: clients bring their own Plaid credentials, but Plaid secrets and access tokens stay in their private Worker/backend, not browser localStorage. Use Cloudflare Workers/Supabase/secure backend endpoints for token exchange.
